St. Joseph’s Academy
in St. Louis, MO, a private independent Catholic school for girls, grades 9 – 12, with an enrollment of approximately 600, seeks an energetic and visionary President of the Academy beginning with the 2011-2012 school year. Located on a beautiful campus in West St. Louis County, St. Joseph’s Academy was founded in 1840 and has been continuously sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet. The centuries-old charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph is centered on “serving the dear neighbor without distinction.” The next President will be living the motto of “Not I, But We.”
Our mission at the Academy is to provide quality Catholic education for young women in an environment that challenges them to grow in faith, knowledge, and respect for self and others. Our community expects these young women to make a profound impact in the world. The President reports to the Board of Directors. The qualified applicant must have at least a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and previous administrative experience, preferably in Catholic schools. The President is responsible for the overall operations of the school with duties including academic and co-curricular programs, school finances, school advancement, and alumnae relations.
