God is with us: Merry Christmas!

The Adoration of the Shepherds by Gerard van Honthorst (1590-1656)

As God Himself took flesh in the mystery of the Incarnation, He showed us that He wanted to be with us always. Jesus Christ’s birth marks the beginning of a new relationship with God. The closeness of Jesus Christ can sustain us when we feel otherwise alone.

In this Year of Faith let us never stop proclaiming, “Jesus I believe in You!” Let us thank Him for believing in humanity and for coming to be our Savior.

Mary, mother of Christ and our mother, help us to know and love your Son. Help us to adore Him, and to love one another for His sake.

May God bless you all with deep peace, undying hope, and holy joy, this Christmas and always.
