Bishop Finn to lead class on Eucharist this Advent

The Bishop Helmsing Institute is offering a special event this Advent season. On December 11 and 18, Bishop Finn will teach a free, two-session mini-course on the Eucharist at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Gladstone.

In anticipation of celebrating Christ’s first coming to earth, Bishop Finn will reflect on how Jesus continues in our midst and is present to us every day in the Real, Sacramental Presence of the Holy Eucharist. This will help us prepare with hope to welcome Jesus — Emmanuel, “God with us” — deeper into our hearts this Christmas.

Bishop Finn’s first class will discuss the theological elements of the Eucharist as Sacrifice, Sacrament, and Real Presence. The following class will focus on the gift of the Eucharistic Lord, as well as how to encounter him and know him in prayer.

Join us for this unique BHI event with Bishop Finn on December 11 and 18 from 7:00-8:30 pm at St. Andrew the Apostle Church. Admission is FREE.
