2017 Lenten Fish Dinners, Shrimp Boils and other Feasts

0217_FishFryFish Fry at the Opera – Lenten Friday Event: Catholic Thinking on the Death Penalty, interested in considering issues raised in Dead Man Walking from a Catholic perspective? Join us for a traditional fish fry followed by a talk/discussion led by Father Thomas B. Curran, S.J., Rockhurst University President. Complete the evening by attending this thought-provoking opera. Doors open 5 p.m., at Lyric Opera’s Michael and Ginger Frost Production Arts Building (712 E. 18th St., Kansas City). 5 – 6 p.m. buffet supper served in our rehearsal hall; 6 p.m., Father Curran will begin speaking; 6:45 p.m., Guests depart to go to the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts for a 7:30 p.m. curtain Dead Man Walking, the opera.
