John Rutter’s Magnificat in concert, 7 p.m., Dec.
5, Our Lady of the Presentation Church, 130 NW Murray
Road, Lee’s Summit. The concert features a 40-member choir
comprised of choir members from Our Lady of the
Presentation, Holy Spirit and St. Margaret of Scotland
parishes, under the direction of David Armstrong, Director
of Liturgy and Music at Presentation Parish. A 40-piece
orchestra will accompany the choir. Free-will donations.
The concert is the first of several events planned at
Presentation Parish during its 125 th Anniversary
year.
The University of Saint Mary will hold an
information session at its Overland Park campus, 11413
Pflumm Road, 6-7:30 p.m., Dec. 1. Learn about USM’s new
evening RN-to-BSN program and accelerated undergraduate
degree-completion programs and graduate programs in
business, education, and psychology. Prospective students
will also be able to speak with a counselor about
financial aid options, meet with the faculty program
director who will be working with them individually. Free,

tiempo de Adviento y Navidad con una Posada, una tradición
cultural latina similar a Caminos de Belén. Este será un
evento familiar con oración, cánticos, comida y una
