University of Saint Mary Lifts the Curtain on Family Favorite ‘Alice in Wonderland’
Dec. 5 & 6 | Tickets Limited for Popular Christmastime Production

(Leavenworth, Kan.)—The University of Saint Mary theatre program will spotlight a timeless classic and entertain a few thousand theatre-goers—young and old—in early December with “Alice in Wonderland.” The play is the 2014 edition of the university’s annual Christmas season theatre production.

The USM theatre program will present several group and school matinees for hundreds of area schoolchildren, as well as two public performances—at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, and Saturday, Dec. 6 in Xavier Theatre on the USM Leavenworth Campus, 4100 South 4th Street.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Call 913-758-6152 to reserve tickets now.

The USM production of “Alice in Wonderland” follows the familiar adventures of Alice as she steps through the looking glass and into the madcap adventures and settings of Lewis Carroll’s story.

“It’s a kaleidoscope of action and silliness for the whole family,” said Van Ibsen, director of USM’s theatre program. “At USM, the Christmas production is a tradition, and we’re thrilled to be able to entertain the children of Leavenworth and Lansing and the greater KC area.”

The cast of the play includes Saint Mary students Daley Wilhelm, of Leavenworth, Kan., as Alice; Jasmin Crowder, of Leavenworth, Kan., as the White Rabbit; Anthony Clouse, of Leavenworth, Kan., as the White Knight; Gemma Maliszewski, of Wichita, Kan., as the Red Queen; and Alex Brown, of Lansing, Kan., Olivia Hatchel, of Kansas City, Kan., Brandon MacDonald, of Visalia, Calif., and Anthony Clark, of Sikeston, Mo., in multiple roles. Thomas Franz, of Leavenworth, Kan., is responsible for lights and sound.

Call 913-758-6152 for more information or to reserve tickets for “Alice in Wonderland.”
