CPR and AED Training

Start:
March 20, 2018
Category:
,

CPR and AED training, 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., March 20 or 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., March 21, St. Joseph Medical Center’s Community Center, 1000 Carondelet Drive, Kansas City.

Our Certified Basic Life Support instructors will teach you how to do hands-only CPR and how to use an
Automated External Defibrillator. Dr. Francisco Lammoglia, MD will go over the signs and symptoms of cardiac arrest. No Certification is given and you only need to attend one class. Each class will last approximately one hour.

Why is knowing CPR important? According to the American Heart Association, 70% of Americans feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because either they do not know how to administer CPR,
or their training has significantly lapsed. These statistics combined should tell you something. Since 88% of cardiac arrests happen in the home, it is very likely that the life you save with CPR is the life
of a loved one.
