Between the Lines: Doing Ethics in

Healthcare Today

Presented by Rosemary Flanigan, CSJ

Oct. 18,  Whitfield Center, Avila University, 119th and Wornall Road, Kansas City.

From the beginning of the bioethics movement in the 1960s and 70s, the place of religion has been complex and controversial. Yet the early practitioners of bioethics included theologians and others who found the questions of bioethics impinging on their own disciplines. Learn what it means to have a “religious consciousness” and how it affects our thinking as we deal with life and death issues.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m.     Program 9-11 a.m. $15 /session, breakfast included
