Peace Walk honoring Terri LaManno, Reat Underwood, and Dr. William Corporon

The peace walk is a journey that begins as a society embracing our diversity and common values and concludes as a community. It takes place April 13, the one year anniversary of the shootings outside the Jewish Community Campus and Village Shalom that took the lives of three innocent people, Terri LaManno, Reat Underwood, 14, and Dr. William Corporon, his grandfather. Terri LaManno was a member of St. Peter’s Parish in Kansas City, MO.

5 p.m., parking at Church of the Resurrection, 13720 Roe Ave., Leawood, Kan. Shuttles run from church campus to Jewish Community Campus, 5801 W. 115th Leawood.

5 p.m., registration for walk at Jewish Community campus

6 p.m., Walk begins from Jewish Community Campus to Church of the Resurrection.

8 – 8:45 p.m., Celebration at Church of the Resurrection includes performances of winning song compositions, candle lighting and more.

Those wishing to participate are required to pre-register through the event website: www.givesevendays.org.

Donations will be accepted for the Reat Griffin Underwood Memorial Foundation, the Theresa LaManno Fund at the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired and RRACE . Donations are tax-deductible.
