Welcomed & Valued,

7 – 8:30 p.m., Oct. 23,  in More Hall, St. Thomas More Parish, 11822 Holmes Road, Kansas City.

Support and hope for people with mental illness and their families. More than 25 percent of Americans age 18 and older live with a mental health diagnosis. In fact, mental illness is the leading cause of disability in the U.S.  Despite how common it is, misconceptions and stigmas remain that affect not only the person living with the diagnosis, but their family as well.

Join Catholic Charities of Kansas City-St. Joseph for Welcomed & Valued, an evening of information and education designed to create parish communities of support for people living with mental illness.  For more information, please contact Teresa Strub Molina (816) 659-8277 or tmolina@ccharities.com.
