Abandoned Catholic cemetery brought back to life

Walk with me down a path mown at the edge of a recently harvested soybean field just north of town, around several wide curves of the forested land beyond the field, to an opening in the trees.

Maybe the oldest existing Catholic cemetery in northwest Missouri?

Bordered by a cornfield, on the edge of a large, heavily forested hollow about a mile northeast of Easton, lies a small graveyard sheltered by a canopy of several varieties of tall trees, with headstones dating back to 1849.
